Sandra Agyapong, Associate lecturer, Luxury Events and Event and Venue Styling
Lecturer, Luxury Events | Event Styling

Our students learn from professionals who bring current industry practice, creative insight and practical experience into the classroom.

Sandra Agyapong brings a distinctive combination of event styling, concept design, creative artwork and brand marketing to her teaching.

Her work is rooted in the understanding that successful events are not simply made up of attractive individual elements. They require a clear concept, a strong visual identity and a consistent guest experience from beginning to end.

From Client Vision to Event Concept

One of Sandra’s key strengths is her ability to translate a client’s ideas into a cohesive event design.

Through detailed consultations, she explores the client’s vision, audience, budget and practical requirements before developing creative concepts, mood boards and photorealistic 3D visualisations.

This process helps clients understand how their ideas will work within a real venue and how each design decision contributes to the overall event experience.

In the classroom, Sandra shares this practical approach with students, helping them understand how to move from an initial idea to a design concept that is both creative and deliverable.

Creative Styling and Visual Storytelling

Sandra’s professional experience includes full-service styling for weddings, private celebrations, brand events and children’s parties.

Her work covers areas such as décor, floral installations, balloon artistry, themed backdrops and stationery design.

Rather than treating these as separate components, Sandra considers how every visual element can work together to communicate a clear story and reflect the identity of the client or brand.

This gives students valuable insight into creative direction, visual communication and the importance of consistency across an event environment.

Managing the Practical Delivery

Event design also requires strong operational skills.

Sandra has experience coordinating styling teams, florists, caterers, venue dressers and contractors, ensuring that the planned concept is delivered effectively from setup through to the close of the event.

She brings practical knowledge of scheduling, supplier coordination, budget management and quality control into her classes.

Students can therefore explore not only how to develop creative ideas, but also how to manage the people, resources and decisions required to bring those ideas to life.

Commercial Awareness and Supplier Relationships

Sandra also understands the commercial side of creative event work.

Her experience includes negotiating supplier contracts, identifying value without compromising quality and building long-term relationships with venues and industry partners.

She has represented brands at wedding fairs, networking events and industry showcases, developing enquiries into bookings and strengthening professional connections.

These experiences allow her to share useful insight into client communication, supplier management, brand representation and the realities of running or supporting a creative events business.

Combining Education and Industry Practice

Alongside her professional work, Sandra is associated with The Signature Eventive and is committed to creating memorable weddings, brand events and private celebrations.

She also holds a BA in Creative Events: Design and Production, strengthening the combination of academic understanding and current industry practice she brings to the classroom.

Sandra’s teaching helps students connect creative thinking with the commercial and operational skills required to deliver cohesive, distinctive and professionally managed events.

For students interested in event design, wedding styling, luxury events, private celebrations or creative production, her classes offer the opportunity to learn from someone actively working across these areas of the industry.
