The following entry requirements apply:

 

• Minimum age: 18
   
• Competent English language skills (comprehension and spoken, reading and written)
   
• Competent computer literacy enabling basic use of email, website access and video-calls (we will provide instructions in the first class for our specific video-call platform)

 

Once you book your course place, you'll receive course confirmation and within 48 hours. 

 

Then, prior to each class, your course trainer will email you a link to join your online classes. You'll need to download a small piece of software before you're first class - so it's a good idea to get ready approx 15 minutes before the first class start time. 

 

At the beginning of the first class, your trainer will explain to you how the functions of your online learning platform work and what to expect from your online classes.

In order to undertake your online classes you will need:

 

• A PC, laptop or tablet device with webcam, microphone, speakers and reliable internet
  (please note mobile phones are not suitable for online classes)
   
• A quiet space away from noise where you can participate in your online classes without distractions 
   
• You will be required to have your webcam on during your online classes as certification requires attendance and participation
   
• Certification requires attendance and participation in 85% of the online classes, plus successful completion of an event planning project due within 2 months of course completion.

The assessment for your Diploma in Event Management is an individual event planning research project. 

Your course trainer will allocated class time in the middle and at the end of the course to ensure all students understand the requirements of the project. 

The research project is due one month after the final class.
