Course Content - ATHE Level 4 Certificate in Sports Management
Introduction to the Sports and Leisure Sectors
Explore the structure and scope of the sports and leisure industries, including public, private and voluntary provision. You will examine key stakeholders, governance, economic impact, participation barriers and current trends shaping the sector, giving you a strong contextual understanding of how sports organisations function.
Professional and Academic Skills
Focuses on developing the academic and workplace skills needed for successful study and professional performance. Explore the skills employers value, assess your own strengths and areas for development, and build greater self-awareness to support your progress both during the programme and in the workplace.

The following entry requirements apply:
- Minimum age: 18
- Competent English Language skills (comprehension, reading, written and spoken) E.g. IELTs 5.5 or equivalent
And at least one of the following:

Assessment is undertaken through a combination of research assignments and applied skills projects.
The Lecturer for each unit of study will allocate class time to ensure students understand the requirements of the assessments.
While you will be working on assessments throughout your course, the final assessment submissions are due four weeks after your course completion. We continue to offer virtual, phone and email support during this time.
