ASKED
QUESTIONS

Applying for a scholarship is a meaningful step towards your future in the events industry. If you are considering submitting an application before 31 March, the answers below will clarify what is included, how awards are assessed and what to expect next.

Our scholarships provide structured financial support towards your course fees and recognise commitment, potential and professional ambition. If you are serious about building a career in events, this section will help you move forward with confidence.

What exactly does each scholarship provide?

Each scholarship offers a reduction on full-time course fees as outlined in the scholarship descriptions above. For example, the Digital Student Ambassador Scholarship provides a £1,000 reduction; the 21 2100 Scholarship provides a £2,100 reduction; and the Newham Community Scholarship offers a 30% reduction. All include a £500 deposit requirement with payment plan options where applicable.

Who is eligible to apply for a scholarship?

Eligibility varies by scholarship. General requirements include commitment to your course and, for the Newham Community Scholarship, permanent residency in the London Borough of Newham with UK citizenship or UK residency. Other scholarships such as the Digital Student Ambassador and 21 2100 Scholarships are open to UK, EU and international applicants.

When will I know if my application has been successful and what happens next?

Scholarship decisions are issued within three days of application. Along with your Conditional Scholarship Place Offer you will receive an invoice for a £500 deposit, (payable within 5 days to secure your Scholarship course place). Your remaining fees (or 1st payment if on a payment plan) is due then due one month prior to the course start date.

How competitive are the scholarships?

Scholarships are competitive and merit-based. They are awarded based on the strength of your application and how well you demonstrate commitment, potential and readiness for study in events. Some scholarships, like the 21 2100 Scholarship, are limited in number and may close once all places have been allocated.

What should I include in my personal statement?

Your personal statement should briefly explain your motivation for studying events, your career goals and why you believe you are a strong candidate for the scholarship. Focus on clarity, passion, commitment and your enthusiasm for the field.

Do I need specific academic qualifications to apply?

No specific academic qualifications are required to apply for the scholarships listed on this page, but you should meet the entry requirements for the course you intend to study.

Can I apply for more than one scholarship?

You select the scholarship you are applying for on the application form. If you meet the eligibility criteria for more than one, choose the one that best reflects your goals and circumstances.

Can I still apply if I don’t receive a scholarship?

Yes. If you are not awarded a scholarship, you may still enrol on a full-time course through our standard application process. You can explore flexible payment plans on the Fees & Payment Options page.

Do scholarships cover accommodation or living costs?

Scholarships provide reductions on tuition fees only. They do not cover accommodation, travel or living costs.
