We are delighted to announce that Ollie Morris has joined The Event School London as an Online Event Management Intern.
Having completed a Stadium and Events Management Degree with UCFB, Ollie enrolled on one of our specialist programmes, the Certificate in Sports Event Management.
Ollie studied in our new virtual classrooms alongside classmates from Egypt and Switzerland in online classes led by international sports management expert and instructor, Sharifa Wilkinson.
Impressed with Ollie's professionalism and passion for the industry, School Director, Maria O'Dea offered Ollie the opportunity to gain experience in the online event world leading on a project to coordinate and conduct online interview with sports and event industry leaders.
Ms O'Dea commented that "Ollie definitely has what it takes to be successful in an event management role. I am so pleased we can play a part in preparing him for what is sure to be an exciting career path in sports and events. Using his initiative and being proactive comes naturally to Ollie. And his ability to plan and organise is already ensuring his work with us coordinating and hosting online interviews is spot on."
Having been a Student Ambassador, Student Representative, Inclusion Officer and Sports Association President, Ollie had already been developing his leadership and organising skills throughout University. Ollie also took advantage of extracurricular opportunities, including a memorable sports management study tour to Doha.
Working at Wembley Stadium as a guest services connector, Ollie gained high profile, high volume event experience working on events such as the FA Cup Final.
Rounding off his experience, Ollie also volunteered for MEI at London Stadium on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and supporting the organisers behind the scenes at Wembley Stadium for the National League.
