One of the joys of being part of the event industry are opportunities to attend industry events, showcases and launches. And the relaunch of the revamped ballroom at the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane was a highlight of the 2020 spring season.
Thanks to wedding industry leader Siobhan Craven-Robins and Emma Murray-Jones from the Marriott Group, staff and students from The Event School London were invited to attend an amazing event at the iconic Sheraton Grand Park Lane in February.
The Sheraton Grand is located on Piccadilly in the prestigious Mayfair district. Opened during the glamour of the 1920’s, the Sheraton Grand London Park Lane is a reflection of Mayfair’s grandeur.
On the night of the event, with it's celebrated art deco style - from the moment we arrived, we were swept away to an era of timeless elegance, charm and class. The event was for the relaunch of the ballroom - an iconic 11,000 square-ft Grade II listed space and a beautiful example of Art Deco architecture.
As well as an opportunity to see the showcasing of the newly revamped ballroom, this was an ideal opportunity to mix and network with top wedding and event planners and industry suppliers. And we loved the brilliant entertainment from the "Frobacks" and the "Urban Soul Orchestra" and hospitable service from the Sheraton staff.
