Associate Lecturer, Venue and Event Management, Karan Dave Kundra

Karan brings a rich and distinctive career spanning hospitality, luxury weddings, iconic venues and senior commercial roles with globally recognised hotel brands. His professional journey reflects exactly the kind of expertise we value: practical experience, strategic thinking and a deep understanding of how events operate within wider business and hospitality environments.

From his early work with large scale Asian weddings to leading events at world renowned venues such as the Natural History Museum, Tower Bridge and Celtic Manor Resort, Karan has built a reputation for creativity, precision and calm leadership under pressure.

His experience extends beyond delivery into sales strategy, key account management and revenue generation through senior roles with IHG, Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt, giving him a sophisticated perspective on how events, hospitality and business intersect.

Recently, Karan led our Venue and Event Styling Elective and this term, Karan will be teaching on our part time Diploma in Event Management, running over eight Mondays from 16 February at Novotel London ExCeL.

Students will benefit from his ability to bridge strategy and detail, helping them understand not just how events are planned, but why decisions are made, how relationships are built and what professional accountability looks like at a senior level.

In the classroom, Karan is focused on developing confident, thoughtful event professionals.

He encourages students to think commercially, collaborate effectively and approach challenges with resilience and curiosity.

His teaching draws on real case studies from luxury weddings, exhibitions, corporate events and large scale projects, ensuring learning remains grounded in current industry practice.

For our students, this is an opportunity to learn from someone who has operated at the highest levels of hospitality and events, across multiple countries and cultures. For The Event School London, Karan strengthens our commitment to delivering education shaped by professionals who are actively engaged in the industry today.

We are excited to have Karan as part of our teaching team and look forward to the impact he will make on our students this term and beyond.
