FACE - TO - FACE TRAINING

With so much of our lives now spent online, our full-time students prefer an 'in-real life' learning experience.

 

That's why our full-time courses offer extensive hands-on, face-to-face

training and experiential learning classes and activities in London.

On average you'll study in London three full days per week with London classes and activities generally scheduled 10-4 on  Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

VIRTUAL TUTORIAL SUPPORT
AND ONLINE LEARNING

Your face-to-face training is supported by virtual tutorials that allow us to bring in expertise and guest speakers from around the world! And we utilise online learning content to enrich and supplement your learning experience.

ASSESSMENT

Assessment varies per unit, but generally, apart from knowledge based online quizzes and short online tests, your assessment will take the form of assignments, reports, portfolios, practical and observations.

Your business management qualification is designed for students who are highly practical and prefer hands-on learning. Vocational Education is all about learning by doing and our programmes are designed around experiential learning principles.

INDUSTRY
PLACEMENT

All students can participate in 60 hours industry placement. Flexible options are available from 1-2 days a week to a two-week block near the end of your course. Students are encouraged to blend  options where suitable to gain exposure to a range of business types and organisations.

Unit 1: The Business Environment

  • Understand the purpose of businesses being organised in various ways

  • Understand how businesses are organised and structured to achieve their purpose

  • Be able to evaluate the impact different elements of macro environments have upon the operations of a business

  • Be able to analyse the internal functions of an organisation, using theories of effective decision making for both internal and external decisions

 

Unit 2: The Fundamentals of Marketing

  • Understand marketing concepts

  • Understand the role of marketing and explain its relationship with the other functions of the organisation

  • Understand the different elements of the marketing mix and how it can support an organisation achieve its objectives

  • Be able to develop and evaluate a marketing plan for a product or service for a chosen organisation

 

Unit 3: Human Resource Management

  • Understand the concept of human resource management both nationally and internationally

  • Understand human resource management processes and decisions made by business to support them in achieving their strategic objectives

  • Understand and evaluate the key elements of human resource management and their effectiveness in organisations

  • Analyse factors which are part of effective decision making in relation to human resource management

  • Understand how to apply human resource practices in supporting a business make choices and selection of its resources

 

Unit 4: Leadership and Operations Management

  • Understand the different management and leadership styles in organisations

  • Analyse the factors which can impact the roles of a leader and a manager in organisations

International Students please note the start and end dates of the course classes are scheduled to allow for a week either side to arrive and depart the UK within a 6-month Standard Visitor Visa Duration.
