There is a particular energy that comes with the start of a new term. Fresh ideas, renewed focus and classrooms once again filled with conversation, collaboration and ambition.

This winter, we are delighted to welcome students back to The Event School London and to share a glimpse of what it's like to study event management in one of London’s best-loved event hotels.

Our winter term is now fully underway, with teaching taking place in professional classrooms at the Novotel London ExCeL.

This is not a traditional campus setting. It is a live event environment, surrounded by conferences, exhibitions, corporate events and international gatherings happening every day.
For our students, this means learning in the context of the industry they are preparing to enter.

Across our classrooms, students are immersed in a range of specialist subjects.

Event management cohorts are exploring structured planning methodologies and operational decision making.

Wedding planning students are developing creative concepts, client journeys and refined design approaches.

Those studying event entrepreneurship are shaping business ideas, pricing strategies and sustainable event ventures.

Meanwhile, digital literacy and leadership elective sessions focus on the tools, platforms and professional behaviours required in today’s event workplace.

The visuals from our classrooms capture this experience in action.

  • Students working in small groups.

  • Lecturers drawing on real projects and current industry practice.

  • Discussions that bridge theory and application.

It is focused, professional and purposeful, yet collaborative and supportive. Our teaching style is deliberately practical, ensuring students understand not just what to do, but how and why decisions are made in real event settings.

Studying at Novotel London ExCeL offers a unique advantage. As one of London’s most recognised event hotels, it provides an inspiring backdrop for learning.

With ExCeL London just moments away and hundreds of live events on the doorstep, students are constantly exposed to the scale, pace and professionalism of the global events industry.

This proximity brings learning to life and reinforces the relevance of every concept covered in the classroom.

Winter term is always a key period for growth. It is where confidence builds, skills sharpen and career ambitions begin to take clearer shape.

Being back in our classrooms, surrounded by peers and guided by experienced industry professionals, sets the tone for a productive and rewarding term ahead.

We are proud of the learning environment we offer and the calibre of students who join us each term.

As winter unfolds, our classrooms at Novotel London ExCeL will continue to be a space where future event professionals refine their craft, expand their thinking and prepare for the next stage of their careers.
